EXIF contains key details about a photo — camera make and model, exposure settings, capture date, and sometimes location. For photographers, clean and accurate EXIF is essential: it preserves the story behind an image, credits the creator, and helps organize archives. Editing EXIF is useful to correct wrong camera timestamps, add missing author credits, remove or obfuscate GPS before sharing, or ensure consistent metadata across a portfolio.
